Daniel Bravo Grants – 2022 Call

After a pause forced by the covid, the Daniel Bravo Andreu Private Foundation has opened its 2022 call for grants for short stays abroad in biomedical research with the aim of stimulating high-impact research in Catalonia.

Grant description:

The Daniel Bravo Grants focus special attention on basic and clinical cardiovascular research and cardiovascular imaging and non-invasive diagnostic techniques.

When assessing the proposals, three broad areas of impact have been defined:

  • Academic impact: generate knowledge that will be published in high-impact journals and/or will generate capacity for future research by providing the home institutions with direction, priorities or skills.
  • Clinical impact: generate knowledge that can influence clinical practice guidelines and/or improve medical and healthcare practice at the local level.
  • Social impact: generate knowledge that can influence public health policies and/or offer benefits for healthcare systems, such as enhancing efficiency or maximising resources.

 

Grant Beneficiaries: researchers at public universities, hospitals and research centres who carry out their activity in Catalonia.

Destination Country: leading centres in their field in North America or Europe.

Grant Period: minimum 3 months and maximum 9 months.

What it includes: each grant comes with a €3,000 gross monthly stipend, in addition to travel expenses. Grant recipients will use these funds to pay for their stay, medical insurance and living expenses during the grant period.

Submission of applications:

The call will be open from 19 January to 9 March 2022.

The resolution will be made public on this website in May 2022.

To apply for the grants, interested researchers must fill in their personal data and project details on this form and attach the three letters, as required in the rules for the 2022 call, in PDF format (letter of motivation, letter of recommendation and letter of pre-acceptance), before 1 pm on 9 March 2022.
